Soldier Forever
“A soldier never stops being a soldier. My Veterans policy — ‘Soldier Forever’ — ensures therapy for healing, reserves for belonging, rank for prestige, and jobs for opportunity. Because the sacrifice of service must be honored, not forgotten.”
Veterans Policy
1. Mandatory Therapy & Counseling for Combat Veterans
Every combat Veteran will undergo mandatory counseling and therapy after returning from deployment.
Schedule:
Weekly sessions upon return.
Gradual reduction to bi-weekly, then monthly sessions as stability is achieved.
Duration: Mandatory for first 5 years after ETS (leaving active duty).
Retroactive: Applies to all Veterans under age 50, even if they have already been separated for years.
Goal: Address PTSD, trauma, and reintegration challenges proactively — not after a crisis.
2. Mandatory Reserve Service After Active Duty
All service members will serve at least 4 years in the Reserves after their active duty contract.
Why:
Smooths the transition to civilian life.
Provides ongoing community, discipline, and camaraderie.
Reduces the “cold plunge” effect many Veterans feel when going from military life straight into civilian isolation.
Exceptions:
Disabled Veterans.
Professionals in high-demand civilian jobs (teachers, doctors, engineers, etc.).
Those not receiving compensation.
3. Rank Forever – Preserving Military Titles
Just as doctors and professors keep their titles for life, Veterans will keep their final rank forever.
A Sergeant remains a Sergeant Forever. A Specialist, a General — always addressed by rank.
Why:
Honors the sacrifice, training, and leadership demonstrated in service.
Restores prestige to Veterans in society.
Builds a sense of belonging — no one’s service was “for nothing.”
4. Veterans First in Federal Jobs
Federal agencies must prioritize Veterans for hiring and promotion.
Automated System:
Eliminates human gatekeepers who discriminate against Veterans.
Veterans’ resumes flagged for priority review by a Veteran Hiring Liaison in every agency.
Goal: Create a direct pipeline from service to stable, rewarding civilian careers.
5. Belonging, Honor, and Prestige
Veterans should not feel discarded after service.
This plan ensures:
Healing (therapy & counseling).
Belonging (mandatory Reserves & Soldier Forever program).
Prestige (Rank Forever & societal respect).
Opportunity (federal jobs priority).
