Why Donate?

(Deuteronomy 28:1–3) says “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.”

Giving our tithes, donations, and/or offerings is not just generosity — it is walking after Gods’ ways and obeying His laws. The Apocrypha tells us: “Water will quench a flaming fire; and alms (Donations) maketh an atonement for sins” (Sirach 3:30). Your giving is not just charity — it is obedience, it is righteousness, and it is your dedication to God.

(Matthew 6:21) says “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

The biggest problem I have had personally with tithing, or giving consistency, is that I never knew exactly how much to give. The Bible in (Tobit 4:7–8) clarifies this for us, stating: “If thou hast abundance give alms (Donations) accordingly: if thou have but a little, be not afraid to give according to that little.”
