I Can’t Victimize My Life

In this message, “I Can’t Victimize My Life,” I acknowledge the painful history of our people—from the curses of Deuteronomy 28 and the scattering of Israel to slavery, Jim Crow, and discrimination—but challenge us not to remain imprisoned by our past.

God didn't only promise curses for disobedience; He also promised blessings for obedience. Our history may explain where we started, but it does not have to determine where we finish.

I know what happened to us and what is currently still happening to us. But I refuse to let yesterday's curses become tomorrow's destiny.
